We started farming commercially because of our passion for food, to have a relationship with the earth, and to be part of the local farm-to-table movement. We believe we have a responsibility to grow nutrient-dense foods and we do this by using methods that maximize soil nutrients and encourage lively soil microbial communities. Our commitment to grow quality food items extends into growing specialty cut flowers, treated with the utmost care to ensure the longest possible vase life.
We have been farming for five years. Barbara brings a background in biology and many years of work in the environmental field to the farm. Dennis has a full-time job off the farm in addition to being a major force in Greenstone Fields.
