Seven years ago, we began farming commercially because of our passion for food, our desire to have a relationship with the earth, and our interest in joining the local farm-to-table movement. We believe we have a responsibility to grow nutrient-dense foods, and we do this by using methods that maximize soil nutrients and encourage lively soil microbial communities. Our commitment to grow quality food items extends into growing specialty cut flowers, which we treat with the utmost care to ensure the longest possible vase life.
Barbara Lamborne brings to the farm a background in biology and many years of work in the environmental field. Her husband, Dennis Fuze, has a full-time job off the farm in addition to being a major force in Greenstone Fields.
